Amanda Negaard, MA, LPC

Amanda Amanda completed her Master’s Degree at Lakeland University in 2014 and is a fully Licensed Professional Counselor. She has experience across a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, crisis intervention, large nonprofits, and private practice. She has provided clinical and administrative supervision to county and private practice interns and professionals. She has a broad range of clinical experience working with individuals and groups across the life span in the following areas:

Amanda believes in working in partnership with clients, utilizing their strengths to help them sort out their challenges and achieve their goals. She uses a blend of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Reality Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Crisis Intervention to help support her clients in reaching their goals. She continues to seek ongoing updates to her skills and knowledge base. She also realizes how important it is to identify all aspects of an individual’s life that impact their well-being including their physical health, support systems (family, friends), work or school environment, and faith/spirituality in this process. Amanda believes that encouraging clients to gain insight into their challenges and strengthening their belief in themselves can promote change. Amanda recently moved to the Waupaca area. She enjoys golfing, biking, carpentry and spending time outdoors doing just about anything with her two daughters. Making time for the occasional binge on Netflix or a spa day with friends are cornerstones to her self care routine.
