Stefanie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Madison as well as a Master's Degree in Multicultural and Bilingual Education. Stefanie has worked in the human services field for over 15 years, working with clients of all ages in individual and group settings. She has experience working at a residential treatment center, outpatient and in-home settings, a crisis center, healthcare centers, and multiple non-profits. Stefanie is also a freelance artist, and one of the lead artists with Rise Up Central WI, Inc, where she teaches "healing through art" workshops and helps create community murals throughout Marathon County. Stefanie is currently earning a second Master's degree and is completing her supervised clinical hours.
Stefanie believes in a holistic and integrative approach to therapy, working collaboratively with the client to efficiently identify goals and work towards solutions as a team. Her primary treatment approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Art Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Compassion-Focused Therapy. She has experience treating trauma, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, grief, behavioral difficulties, interpersonal conflicts, and life transitions.
